Masala Paneer Grilled Sandwich Recipe by Embake

How to make Masala Paneer Grilled Sandwich

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • Embake multigrain bread: 4 slices
  • Paneer (cottage cheese): 200 g, cut into 1 cm thick slices
  • Onion: 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Tomato: 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Green bell pepper: 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Green chili: 1, finely chopped (optional)
  • Fresh coriander: 2 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Butter: 2 tbsp (for grilling)
  • Oil: 1 tbsp

Spices for Paneer Masala:

  • Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala: 1/2 tsp
  • Salt: to taste

For the spread:

  • Mint chutney: 2 tbsp
  • Mayonnaise: 2 tbsp

Method:

Prepare the Paneer Masala:

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  • Sauté the onions, bell peppers, and green chili until slightly soft.
  • Add tomato slices, paneer, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Toss gently to coat paneer with spices. Cook for 2 minutes. Sprinkle chaat masala and coriander.

Prepare the Sandwich:

  • Butter one side of each “embake multigrain bread” slice. Spread a mix of mint chutney and mayonnaise on the unbuttered sides.
  • Layer the masala paneer mix on a slice, top with another, keeping buttered sides out.

Grill the Sandwich:

  • Heat a grill pan or sandwich maker. Grill the sandwich until golden and crispy on both sides.

Pro Tip: Add grated cheese for extra indulgence.

Serve With: Spicy ketchup and a handful of roasted masala peanuts.
