How to make Aloo Chaat Sev Sandwich
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
- Embake white bread: 4 slices
- Boiled potatoes: 2 medium, mashed
- Green chili: 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh coriander: 1 tbsp, chopped
- Chaat masala: 1 tsp
- Red chili powder: 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice: 1 tsp
- Tamarind chutney: 2 tbsp
- Green chutney: 2 tbsp
- Butter: 2 tbsp
- Sev (thin gram flour noodles): 1/4 cup
Method:
Prepare the Aloo Chaat Filling:
- Mix mashed potatoes with green chili, coriander, chaat masala, red chili powder, and lemon juice. Adjust salt to taste.
Assemble the Sandwich:
- Butter the outer sides of each “embake white bread” slice.
- Spread green chutney on one side of two slices and tamarind chutney on the other.
- Layer the spiced potato filling and sprinkle a generous layer of sev over it.
Toast the Sandwich:
- Heat a tawa and toast the sandwich until golden and crisp. Press lightly with a spatula for even cooking.
Pro Tip: Add a layer of grated beetroot for a pop of color and nutrition.
Serve With: Sweet mango pickle and a chilled glass of masala chaas (spiced buttermilk).
